The Wedding Timeline

A lot of brides ask me about a wedding timeline. I don’t have an exact timeline that I go by, since I’m always on the move, capturing moments as they happen. But, a rough timeline does help to plan the day. Especially if there are a lot of different venues on the day.

Here is how my average day goes at a full day wedding:

12pm – 1pm: Groom getting ready & Portraits

1pm – 2:30pm: Bride getting ready & Portraits (Pro Tip: make sure to get ready way before the time, so you don’t have to stress)

2:30pm – 3pm: Venue & decor shots

3:30pm – 4:15pm: Ceremony

4:15pm – 4:30pm: Congratulations

4:30pm – 5:30pm: Canapes & Family formals

5:30pm – 5:45pm: Bridal Party Portraits

5:45pm – 6:30pm: Bride & Groom Portraits

6:45pm: Bride & Groom Grand Entrance

7pm – 9pm: Reception starts, starters served, speeches

9pm: Dancing and partying
